Bio

Andrew Howells is a professional Artist based in Newcastle, Australia.

With a life-long passion for drawing, Andrew has worked for the past twenty years in the creative fields of animation, graphic design, fine art and Illustration. More recently Andrew has combined his passion for drawing with his broad professional background in the classroom as a Lecturer in Natural History Illustration at the University of Newcastle in Australia.

Inspired by the natural world, Andrew’s art is focused on depicting the beauty and intricate detail of his subjects. Each of the animals has been observed and studied in captivity or in the field, in order to understand not just their physical features and form, but importantly their behaviour and personality.  It is this study that shapes each composition.

Andrew's black and white collection has been reproduced as open and limited edition giclée fine art prints and are available for purchase through stampedestyle.com
